Privacy policy

Innovar Solutions AS, organisation number 988 470 376, Varabergmyra 18, 4051 Sola, Norway, is the data controller for personal data processed through this website and when you contact us. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it and what rights you have. It follows the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Norwegian Personal Data Act.

What we collect and why

Enquiries and quick messages. Your name, company, email address or phone number, and what you write to us. We use this to answer you and follow up. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before a contract, and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (GDPR article 6(1)(b) and (f)).

WhatsApp. If you choose to contact us on WhatsApp, Meta Platforms processes your data under its own terms. We only see the conversation itself.

Ideas sent through the R&D idea portal. Your contact details, the description and any attachments. We use this to evaluate the idea and get back to you. If you ask for an NDA, we send one before details are shared. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before a contract (article 6(1)(b)).

Job applications. Your contact details, CV, cover letter and other documents you attach. We use this to assess your application. Legal basis: your consent (article 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time, and steps before entering an employment contract (article 6(1)(b)).

Customers and suppliers. Contact details of the people we deal with at your company, together with quotes, orders, shipping and invoicing. Legal basis: contract (article 6(1)(b)) and legal obligations such as bookkeeping (article 6(1)(c)).

Website logs. Our hosting provider stores standard server logs such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, for security and operations. Legal basis: legitimate interest (article 6(1)(f)).

Cookies

This website uses only cookies that are necessary for it to work. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. If we add web analytics later, you will be asked for consent first, as required by the Norwegian Electronic Communications Act.

How long we keep data

• Enquiries: as long as needed to handle and follow up, normally up to two years after the last contact.
• Ideas: until the idea has been evaluated and the matter is closed, or as long as an agreement requires.
• Job applications: deleted six months after the recruitment is closed, unless you consent to us keeping them longer.
• Customer and supplier data: for as long as the relationship lasts, and afterwards as required by Norwegian bookkeeping law.
• Server logs: normally up to 90 days.

Who we share data with

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with our IT, hosting and email providers, who process data on our behalf under data processing agreements; with our group companies Innovar Solutions Middle East (ISME) in Dubai and ISCO in Saudi Arabia when your enquiry concerns the Middle East; with Meta Platforms when you choose WhatsApp; and with public authorities when the law requires it.

Transfers outside the EEA

ISME and ISCO are located outside the EEA. When we transfer personal data to them, or to a provider outside the EEA, we use the safeguards in GDPR chapter V, such as the EU standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

You can ask for access to the personal data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to the processing, receive a copy in a portable format, and withdraw any consent you have given. Write to post@innovar.no. You can also complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority, Datatilsynet.

Security

Access to personal data is limited to the employees who need it for their work. The website uses encrypted connections (HTTPS), and our providers are bound by data processing agreements.

Changes

We update this policy when our processing or the law changes. The current version is always available on this page.
