A client in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was trying to fish a stuck slickline assembly by using a slickline pulling tool. During the attempt, the 5″ OD guide of the slickline pulling tool broke off and prevented access for the fishing slickline BHA.

A first run was made with a 3,5″ OD slickline fishing magnet from a non-disclosed supplier, but the magnet failed to recover the lost guide. Then Innovar Solutions Middle East was contacted and supplied a 3,3-in OD Magnum Fishing Magnet, model FMP 33ss. The FMP 33ss has a lifting capacity of up to 320 kg at full contact. The client ran the 3,3″ OD Magnum Fishing Magnet on coil tubing and recovered the lost 5″ guide on the first run.
